Ayamonte is a fishing village in the province of Huelva, Andalusia. The houses are typical whitewashed there are chuches and busy squares. There is a market called El Mercado de Abastos in the middle of the city center which has fish mongers, butchers, fruit shops, textiles and handcrafted souvenirs. Open Monday to Saturday. Another great day out is a Jeep Safari we chose the Moorish Trail travelling through the nature reserve, mountains and villages. The Safari includes lunch and a boat trip. The drivers spoke different languages and explained all about the countryside, traditional villages and history. This is a great boat trip on board the Jasmin Flor with breath taking scenery, sailing up the Guadiana River which separates Spain and Portugal.
