Exciting news a new ferry service from the Canaries to Huelva, Isla Canela. Fred Olsen Express and Balearia through its alliance Canary Bridge Seaways will launch the new route between the Canary Islands and Huelva on November 11th. There will be three weekly trips with two ferrys that will provide a reliable and quality service.
The route will be triangular between the ports of Huelva, Isla Canela La Luz in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The departures from the Huelva, Isla Canela will be on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. while from the Canary Islands they will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays , at 12:00 p.m. from Las Palmas and at 8:00 p.m. from Tenerife. Two ferrys will be allocated to the route one exclusive for the transport of cargo the Clipper Pennant and another that allows the transport of vehicles and cargo, the Martin i Soler.
The ferry company has worked closely with the port authorities of Cádiz and Huelva, Isla Canela who have shown their interest, and support in this new project. However in response to logistical and commercial reasons the port of Huelva, Isla Canela has finally been chosen.
The Martin i Soler de Balearia was built in 2009 it is 165 meters in length and has a capacity for 1,200 people, 330 passenger cars and 1,185 linear meters of cargo. It has several accommodation options armchairs, upper seats, double and quadruple cabins and a wide range of services on board including restaurants and cafes, Wi-Fi, swimming pool and shop.
The Clipper Pennant a specific cargo ship, will make it possible to respond to the current cargo transport demand.
