The first edition of Isla Canela Guadiana Triathlon will be held on October 20 the race will be held along the two banks of the Guadiana River between Spain and Portugal. The competition, with departure and arrival in the Huelva town of Isla Canela includes a long distance test 3800 meters of swimming, 180 kilometers by bicycle and 42 kilometers race. The price for this is €260. The other one of average distance 1900 meters of swimming, 90 kilometers on bicycle and 21 kilometers of race with a price of €130.
The swimming event will take place on the Isla Canela beach after which the athletes will get on the cycles and head towards Ayamonte, on to Villablanca, San Silvestre and Castillejos, where they will head towards El Granado. Later they will cross the river Guadiana to enter Portugal go to the town of Mertola and then on to Alcoutim. At this point the triathletes will continue along the banks of the Guadiana River to Azinhal, where they will cross again to Spain, arriving in Ayamonte and returning to the Isla Canela Beach where the T2 will be located.
The race on foot will start on the seafront of Isla Canela, where the 4 laps of 10.5 km will begin with a final at the Hotel Barcelo Isla Canela, the official hotel of the event.
