Seville from Isla Canela

This is a great trip from Isla Canela starting with exploring the Plaza Espana next a city sightseeing tour, visiting some of the city’s top attractions, including the magnificent Cathedral. After that a walk around the picturesque historic Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz. There is also plenty of free time to explore this magical city for yourself.

First stop on arriving in Seville is a circular sightseeing tour by bus where you’ll be able to get a general idea of the layout of this great city. Next go for stroll around the impressive Plaza Espana, a massive colonnaded semi-circular space built for the 1929 World Exhibition, continue to the Maria Luisa Gardens with their fragrant orange trees, shady spots and cool fountains.

Next a visit the city’s magnificent Cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world. This amazing building is crammed full of priceless art treasures and is even said to contain the remains of Christopher Columbus.

The final visit is to the old Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz. Images of this rabbit warren of narrow whitewashed alleys, colourfully tiled courtyards and lively bars and pavement cafes will stay in your heart for years to come.

Then after lunch you’ll have plenty of time to explore on your own. You can choose to go for a cruise down the river Guadalquivir or take a romantic ride by horse-drawn carriage around one of the city’s many historical quarters. Or perhaps you feel like hitting the shops or spending a relaxing afternoon watching the world go by from one of the city’s many pavement cafes.

A great trip suitable for all lasting nine hours. Good value.
